25 Best Swimming Holes in Texas
October 28, 2008
O.k….fall has come and I’m already yearning for summer again…what gives? LOL! No, I just stumbled upon a great blog by Austin, Texas jewelry designer, Natalie Tischler of Ornamental Things, that introduced me to an amazing swimming hole called Hamilton Pool, 30 minutes north of Austin.
I’ve never been, but it looks so beautiful & serene. I’d love to take a short day-trip with the hubby & my little one. They’d enjoy this place so much!!! It is a nature preserve with a delicate ecosystem, and hiking trails, with a 45 foot tall waterfall. It’s gorgeous. I want to go sometime soon, who cares if we can’t swim this time of year. It’d be so refreshing to be in a zen state of mind surrounded by nature. And this place looks as simple, peaceful, and uplifting as God intended the entire world to be. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I feel calmer already.
**SO I FOUND THIS GREAT LIST OF THE BEST SWIMMIN’ HOLES IN TEXAS, AND YOU CAN BET THAT I’M GONNA TRY TO VISIT THEM ALL!
I’M SUCH A WATER-BABY. {YES, I’M A PISCES.}

Wow, what a great list! I have been to Krause also and can definitely recommend it. Just don’t take a lot of stuff with you because it’s kind of a kind down – that goes for Hamilton’s too! Have fun!
