Most of what you see here is from my new series, “Perpetual Motion” which uses the technique I created, “Numberism”. Each piece is hand drawn with only the numbers 1 – 12, marking the hours of the clock. There are no lines and no smudging.

This series focuses on time and taking advantage of the moment, whatever it might be. This whole series was inspired by anxiety. I was constantly worrying about the future or regretting the past, and one day I realized that by doing this, I wasn’t living now at all. This series helps remind me to stay in the moment and appreciate now for what it is. My hope is that when these prints are on your walls, it will do the same for you.

Falling To Pieces 5 x 7 Matted $20.00

smhttp://siennamorris.etsy.com

Giclee print under acid free mat. You can pop this into a frame with an 8 x 10″ opening.

This will be your first kiss. You look at him, he looks at you and you wonder if it’s okay to push in closer. Is it okay to finally kiss him? Your whole body seems to vibrate with electricity and you can think of nothing but his lips. Everything else falls away. Nothing exists but this moment, you and him.

Click one of the close ups to see the numberism work. This is drawn with only the numbers 1 – 12, marking the hours of the clock.

Your matted print will come to you in a polybag. I will sign the print upon order.

Although I’ve been painting since my age was measured in months (my mom, a toll painter, would give me scraps of wood from her projects, a cup of water, and a brush for me to “paint” with….) I really became serious with it in ’99 during my last years of high school. Resigned to my profession I was accepted to Montserrat College of Art on scholarship and concentrated on painting.

Sagittarius Gallery, my business, was started in April of 2003 and since then I have been blessed to have over 250 patrons on 5 continents. I have shown at several galleries including Karin Sanders Fine Art in Sag Harbor, NY, Robert Dowling Studios and Gallery in Bangor, ME, the gallery walk at Memories on Market LLC in Oshkosh, WI, as well as a solo show at the Gallery and Grille in Newburyport, MA. My work has been featured by the online Self-representing artists website EBSQ as well as the web zine Pedestal Magazine. My work has also been shown at the Empire State Legislative Building in Albany, NY, First National Bank of Scotia in Scotia, NY, and several student shows at Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA during my time as a student.

I am influenced by all around me but have an affinity for the Abstract Expressionists such as Rothko. de Kooning, and more contemporary examples such as Susan Rothenburg and Cecily Brown. I am in love with my palette knife and thick oil paint but I do utilize a bevy of different media and techniques to illustrate my unique vision. Melted crayola crayons, Testors model car enamels, sharpee pens…anything is fair game.

This vibrant original palette knife painted oil painting depicts an abstracted man and woman in an embrace. This piece is from my Couples Collection of works. The paint is “tapped” onto the canvas with the palette knife creating an all over texture. You can see this in the images – some of the “dots” in the dark areas is where light was hitting the peaks of paint created by this “tapping” method. With this method the resulting texture is that of stucco and creates a unique visual element.

This piece is comprised of several layers of thick paint creating an almost 3 dimensional appearance – a truly unique and one of a kind piece of artwork! It would be a vibrant and sophisticated piece to add to any fine art collection, or the perfect stand out work of art to start one!

This piece is signed and dated on the front and back of the painting. The staple free sides have been painted so there is no need for framing, but you can of course if you like 🙂 This piece has been varnished to protect from UV rays and the elements and has been wired on the back for easy hanging.

*Please note colors may vary from monitor to monitor due to individual settings and limitations in digital photography – every effort is made to come as close to actual colors in each painting as possible.

Red and Black – Small Print $5.00

The red here is more of a raspberry… From my original handdrawn image, then printed with gocco. I think of it as a sexy heart, very much so… Every boyfriend I’ve ever had loves them, being caught somewhere between blushing and, well, um, let’s call it very short-term begging… That’s the story there for me…So… Whatever your case or mine, it’s the hotness indeed!
The paper used is acid-free, archival smooth Bristol, measures approximately 4.5″ by 5.75″, or 11.5 cm by 14.75 cm. Signed and numbered edition of 35.
I will ship anywhere that’ll have me, and items will be lovingly protected from the elements in recycled packaging.
